R.C. Kealiher is a lifelong learner with a deep curiosity for art, science, and history—and a voracious reader of mystery and thriller fiction. He has been writing since childhood, first inspired by long summers spent devouring stacks of books by authors such as Faulkner, Hemingway, O’Connor, Plath, Steinbeck, Twain, and countless others.

Kealiher studied journalism, communications, and literature through high school and college before life led him down a different road. He spent years working as a trauma nurse, an experience that sharpened his understanding of human vulnerability, resilience, and truth. Eventually, he found his way back to words through copywriting for national magazines and developing marketing content for a wide range of brands and clients.

He is the husband of an award-winning journalist, author, successful entrepreneur, and former hometown mayor. Kealiher is the father of five intelligent daughters, and grandfather to four amazing and curious children, who continually remind him why stories matter. His debut novel, The Secrets Beneath, marks his introduction to fiction.
